Easiest way to attach dubbing is like this. Double your line and slip material between and start wrapping it around the hook. Trim to the shape you want. What’s that specific material/color? Beats me. I just work with what I already bought.
Stole this picture from here:

I spun this synthetic material on using that method. The thread I was using was VERY heavy. Gave the shrimp a spiral effect.
Edit to add: A nice redfish ate that top one. Got the fly back.
EP crustacean brush and a lot of trimming.
Far better it is to dare mighty things to win glorious triumphs even though checkered with failure, than to take ranks with those poor spirits who never enjoy much nor suffer much because they live in the grey twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.
im thinkin its the sparkle brush (EP) since it moves very easily (thinner). when you wrap it, stroke back every 1/8 of a turn…less, and it binds on itself.
sorry, abbapoola…you forgot to log out and i posted fer ya!!
I have “spun” craft fur on a hook and it looked a lot like that… EP Fibers can also be made to look like that… easy enough… just play at the vise and see what shakes loose…
