Reds and Black Drums

Went out yesterday with my best friend from school to take him before he went back home. Got out there really early around 6:00am and was it cold, The N wind really puts a chill on your bones. But the high tide was extremely high yesterday. So when we got there it was dead high tide. Threw lines in, and it started to rain, go figure. We decided after that to go inside, warm up, and eat some breakfast. After that, we check the lines and I got a little redfish. Nothing else on the other. Re-bait and go inside again. Head back out on the dock and line is screaming. Mitch (my buddy) takes it and fights it perfectly. It was his 1st redfish ever! Then another goes off and I take it. Turns out to be a big ol black drum. Another goes off. Mitch takes it and it is just a little black drum. After all that excitement, the tide went out and it was time to head back home. Great day and something Ill remember this kid by! Love this guy!

That’s pretty good dock fishing there :sunglasses:

It was too cold for me yesterday to get far from the fireplace!

Wow - Check out the BLUE on that fish’s tail! Good stuff!

I was taught you always have to suffer a little before you catch. Cold and wet sounds about right.

I love that blue tint on the tail.
