Hey guys im trying to get more into sight fishing the only problem I have is my lure arsenal is pretty slack. I was wondering if yall had any good lures for reds and or trout. color size brand and so on. I mainly fish shallows grass lines and docks. Thanks for the help.

Definitely hard to argue with the TT and trout eye jig. Pay attention to the live bait in the area you’re fishing and “match the hatch.” If artificals are your thing (as they are mine), a good assortment of minnow (mullet), shrimp and crab imitation baits are a must. I’m not sure what the TT “imitates” but whatever it is, it works. Never hurts to have a topwater lure or twelve at your disposal either.

I typically let water color/visibility dictate the colors I use. I like darker colors in dirtier water and more natural colors in clearer water. That said, be flexible and experiment. the fish will tell you when you get it right. You just have to be willing to listen.

Ok ill definitely pick some of those up. Thanks guys!

Berkley Gulp shrimp 3 inch in new penny color is one of my favorite inshore artificials. Can’t go wrong with them. They’re fished on jig heads.
Favorite hard baits would be Yo-Zuri crystal minnows and Heddon Zara spooks. Crystal minnows are deadly on everything. The three lures I just mentioned are my all time favorite artificials.
