reds are turning toward fall behavior

Out on the flats in the protected marshes, I’m seeing the reds schooling up on the rising tides during the day. They seem to be everywhere. Of course, they refuse to bite what I’m offering (usually a gold spoon) but they are out there. I think they are getting spooked by the spoon, but anything lighter and I can’t cast it more that 20 feet. Might be a good time to learn to toss a fly.

Havent been out lately, but learning to throw a fly is a good idea anytime!

Don’t have a knack for makin motors crank,
But I’m pretty good at drinkin beer

The best way to a fisherman’s heart is through his fly.
