Headed out with Daniel from Zman to fish the Wando. It’s been almost 8 years since we have fished together! We used to fish every Wednesday offshore during the Mahi season in the spring of 2008-2010. Then Daniel started working at Zman and I sold my offshore boat after I had two back surgeries. We always talked about fishing inshore together but never made it happen. We got underway at 10:00 am and headed up the Wando. We started out picking at the trout with several 19 inch fish. As the tide fell we started catching some small redfish, a nice black drum and a flounder. At sunset we worked our way back into the creeks where saw redfish feeding on bait in less than a foot of water with their backs out of the water. The redfish were so big, at first we thought they were dolphins. There were so many fish in that creek that they were bumping into the boat. We ended the day releasing 24 trout, 6 redfish, 1 flounder and we took 1 black drum home for the wife to cook for dinner. Almost all of the fish were caught on the same bait, a Zman 4” Scented Jerk Shad on an Eye Strike 3/16 oz Trout Eye Jig Head or a Mustad 3/0 oz Grip Pin Hook. This is also the 1st trip to be filmed using the new GoPro Hero 7 with hypersmooth stabilization, 4K 60 fps, 1080p 240 fps super slo-mo and timewarp.

Not gonna lie, I’ve always wondered that myself with Mazacuaton’s posts. I love the reports and the pics and videos but why promote Amazon? There are far too many local shops with a tremendous selections, competitive prices and knowledgeable staffs for people to have to/want to shop anywhere else. Granted, not all of us live in the Charleston area, me included, but whenever I’m fishing down there, I always hit up my favorite local shop to get what I need and see if they have any recommendations. I’d be willing to bet that Daniel would rather his local customers shop with their local dealers too.

We’re in the process of working on a system at both Haddrell’s locations to freight at a minimal cost for our Summerville/North Charleston customers. I live in Goose Creek so I understand traffic, but I don’t understand a reference to Amazon when all of those products mentioned are carried locally.
If you use his link he gets a tiny percentage of kick back from Amazon. The price is usually the same as buying on regular amazon link. The same if you watch a youtube vid he gets a tiny percent of ad revenue. Its not that big of a deal really.

Got ya. I wasn’t aware of how that worked. In that case, I can’t hate on someone for getting paid. Good for him. Maybe he could workout some kind of promotional kick back with the local shops…? Granted, something like that would probably be more product oriented, not monetarily oriented.
