Will consider a trade for a slightly smaller center console for fishing inshore creeks.
Location:
Mount Pleasant, SC
I live in North Augusta, SC about 150 miles away, so I’m available to do sea trials on the weekends.
Specs:
20’ centerline length
8’ beam
3100 lbs. dry weight
22" draft (per the 1988 brochure, but I think it’s actually a little less)
60 gallon total fuel capacity
Motor:
2002 PCM 351 (5.8L)
Holly 4 barrel carb
GT-40 heads
Raw water cooled
1610 hours and counting. The boat is being used so hours will increase.
Electronics:
Garmin 400c fishfinder and Airmar 600w in hull transducer
Garmin 192C chartplotter with a new Garmin GA-30 antenna installed
Standard Horizon Eclipse+ VHF
Sony head unit with 4 speakers
Miscellaneous:
4 year old custom hardtop
Portable 15+ gallon livewell
15’ gunnel mounted outriggers
4 dock lines
6 PFDs and 1 throwable
Anchor, rode, and chain
Spare anchor, rode, and chain
Spare NiBral prop
Spare parts - impeller and seals, belts, 2 packages of shaft packing, whatever else I find in my boat boxes that belong with this boat
Performance:
I cruise at 18-19 knots at 26-2800 RPMs. You could bump the cruise on up to 22-23 knots at 32-3300 RPMs just before the secondaries open if conditions allow.
Fuel burn at cruise is about 8-10 GPH. I do not have a fuel flow meter to be any more precise than that.
Full day offshore trips running 30 miles from the ramp, idling while drifting, trolling, and returning, tend to burn from 28-34 gallons. I rarely ever shut down the motor when offshore, so it typically runs from 6:00 AM to 3-4:00 PM.
Trailer:
1987 Boatmaster, not sure of the model but I can give you the VIN
Maintenance and repairs since I’ve owned it:
New thermostat housing, gaskets, and thermostat 7/2013
This video is a year old. But, it doesn’t sound any different today. With the rubber hooters/baffles on there it’s actually much more muted rumble compared to most Shamrocks.
Here are a couple of pictures in action this weekend at the beach. Notice the seats pull out flat, perfect for the wife or girlfriend to relax on.
Here are a ton of updated pictures. I took all of these yesterday. Obviously it’s all loaded down with my stuff still because I am using the boat nearly every weekend.
I’m not looking to buy a boat, but if you’re wanting to sell the Penn 30s that are in the pictures I would be interested.

Sorry, I’m not sure how I missed this post last week. I do not have any Penn 30s. Maybe what you’re seeing in the pictures are the gold AVET LX 6.0s? I’m not really interested in selling any of my equipment, yet. I may depending on what boat I end up getting next.
Good luck. That’s a lot of boat for the money and Shamrock makes a fine boat. The straight inboard is probably what’s slowing down the sale, but that’s a good buy.

Thanks Larry. I have mixed emotions about this sale. It’s going to be very tough to see her go. This has been an absolutely fantastic boat.
