The article says it’s “some 160 miles off the coast of Charleston.” That’s a 320 mile round trip if you simply go there and then turn around and come back. I don’t think I’d make that run in a bay boat. Having one, I believe they are far more capable than they’re given credit for, but a 320 mile round trip isn’t a limit I’d test in a bay boat.

I think I remember reading that if you add tidal rails you are good to go.
