Headed out from Remley’s at 6am to the Charleston 60 yesterday morning. Water was rougher than last weekend with waves crashing over the bow. Stopped at the Nearshore Reef and fished there for a little while until the conditions got better. Caught Croaker and BSB’s until we got bored and finally moved out to PA-24. Not much action bigger than small BSB’s. Finally caught a few grunts and a Triggerfish before calling it a day due to storm clouds rolling in. Caught everything on cut squid until we got back to the Jettys. Fished cut mullet on the rocks and picked up 1 keeper BSB, and 2 over the slot reds along with more small BSBs. Finally headed in around 1.
Hey richparish, recognize that boat in the back ground? We saw you guys land that nice double right after you dropped the hook. Good work. I finally got one. Nice to see the jetties produce like that, wish we could have kept them.

Nice fish, they sure do put up a heck of a fight when they’re that size. Its sad when you wish your fish was smaller just so you could keep it, haha. I left my rod sitting in the holder while my brother brought his in and when I picked mine back up it bent over. Here’s a picture of the red I caught last year fishing the other set of jetties, first red I had ever caught.
Thanks BandB, headed out Saturday as I am sure everyone else is as well. May see you out there. Plan to catch some live bait around the cans, then motor south to 120ft and deploy the spread. See what happens after that.
