Reel service

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew a good place to take a reel to be serviced? It’s an Avet LX conventional reel. Since it’s a big game reel I figured this is the right forum to ask on.

This video tutorial is for an Avet HXW 5/2, the next size up from your LX. I have used it to service 4 of mine and it was spot on. Give it a look and try it yourself, Avets are easy to work on.
If you prefer not to do it yourself, Haddrell’s can do it. There are lots of on line sources also, including several on the above link.

I appreciate the information. Thanks for the help.

When I took an Avet to Haddrell’s, they sent it into Avet to get the bearings done.

I just had the same reel services by Www.ricksreelservice.com and he did it all. He’s done a mess of my reels before

X2 on ricks. Great service

I have heard a lot of good things about Ricks, but if all you need is clean and lube, no need to spend $35 plus shipping for an Avet. In my old age, I have more time than money!
