Looking to buy multiple good line counter reels to go with striper rods. Let me know the best one for under 100$ thanks!

In my opinion, the best bargain in a sturdy line counter is the Okuma Magda Pro 20 DX. It goes for less than $50-- certainly worth consideration.

lake murray hardware has some great deals on okuma combos. they have the okuma convector series. I have magda, convector, and cold water series okuma reels. the convector is the best bang for the buck in my opinion. i use them for bottom bumping offshore as well.

I really like my okuma 303d cold water series. I have 14 of them haven’t had a single problem. You can find them for $90. The cheaper $50 okumas have a plastic case for the extra $40 I feel like I’m getting a better reel having a metal case

Is the Magda Pro the one with viable metal on the frame or all black?

that one is mainly all black and most plastic. the 2015 and older version looks like this

i dont like the magdas very much, they have lots of back and forth play with the handle. i recommend spending a little bit more and getting the convector series or even more and get the cold water series

Check out the Cabelas Depth master III’s. Not a bad reel for the price. I bought 6 of them when I was starting out and they still working fine even after being in the saltwater.
