I’m looking for a used 23 or 24 FS Regulator with twin 4-stroke 150’s and no bottom paint. Anyone know of a used one in the Charleston area?

This is a site that I used to help find my regulator. I ended up finding it on Boat Trader.com I think but the above site helped me get a good feel for prices on the market. Keep checking all the sites and don’t limit your location search. Driving may be well worth it. I found Mine in FL for a great price. 02 hull with a 06 F250 with only 250 hrs on it. Much better price than a 02 hull with 02 F225 that was for sale here in Charleston with 700 hrs on it.
Great boats. Everyone who goes offshore on my Reg can’t believe how well this boat rides. You don’t even need to ever use tabs either. It’s so well balanced. Impresses me everytime we get in something nasty. It’s a tank! Weight is much closer to boats in the 26/27’ range. The performance #'s with the twin 150’s are really good too. Good luck and I hope you find one! You’ll love it!
E-mail me if you want to know any specifics or want to go offshore with us on it.

And unfortunately it’s not the FS model which is a must have for my family. I appreciate all the ■■■■■■■■. Keep it coming I’m hoping to find one soon.
They are great boats! I’ve got the 26FS. Handles any ocean I’ve been in. DISLIKES: The step up going up front to the fish boxes. I hit my head on the T-top almost everytime when I have a fish on the gaff. I know its there, but knock my brains out almost everytime. The huge 700 quart fish box is not insulated well, and the framed square windshield is hard to see around sometimes. I’m planning on taking it off this winter. LIKES: Boat rides and handles better than anything I’ve ever owned. Its sporty, fast, loves to bust through 2-3 foot chop! I read where GuyA stated that you don’t need to use tabs, I don’t know about the 23, but I use a little tab in a head sea most of the time. It might be because of the engine bracket supporting the wieght of the engines. The owners manual does state that the boat only needs tab to correct for side to side leveling, but it rides so much better with a little tab! Its laid out for fishing, and the family loves the foward seating. You can get to every pump and the wiring with ease. I do my own maintenance, and that is a HUGE plus, no more standing on your head to work on pumps, and you can stand up in the center console and fold down a panel to get to all the wiring. IMO the 26 is one of the finest center consoles made.

What you want, but with a single F250. I’d prefer this setup to twin 150’s, but that’s just me.

This one- I am not sure about the power. This one’s 9 grand less asking price than above, but with a single 300 HPDI. [:0] In NJ.

This one is exactly what you want. Low hours, too. But it is in CT. Aqua mist hull and appears to have a hardtop and radar.

Editted to add:
I think these are some of the best boats you can get for fishing off our coast in terms of late models and bang for the buck. A single F250 or F300 or twin F150’s or Z200’s in this size boat is hard to beat economy and ride (and safety) wise I think.
Good luck!

Thanks Phin, I’ve scoured all the sites. I’m hoping someone will have a friend or know someoen that has one for sale or is considering selling. Several times I’ve found them on line, called and been a couple of days late.
The Hull Truth is another website. I just sold my 26 last summer. I agree with many of the comments already stated, it is the perfect offshore boat for around here. For my two cents, I would get the 23 or a 26. The 24 seems to be an “in between size.” The 26 is a whole lot more boat than the 24 (loa is close to 30 ft.) and the price isn’t much more than a 24. Kind of defeats the point in my opinion. Plus I don’t believe the 24 has as much room in the transom as the 23
Give Chip a call at Barrier Island Marine. They had a nice 23 earlier in the year up there for a fair price. Probably sold by now, but they broker used boats as well. He might know of some folks that are looking to upgrade to a larger Reg and could put you in touch. He is a good guy.
Go to the Hull Truth and do a search. You will get a ton of information. I don’t know if you want a 23/24 for size or for the cost. If it is for cost, I have seen some older model 26 Regs. that have been repowered for great prices. The 26 is their flagship model. Not trying to talk you out of a 23, but I would take a look if cost is the main reason you are looking at the 23/24.
I’ve talked to chip and look on the Hull Truth a good bit. The 26 is certainly a nice boat but a little more than I’m looking for right now, not so much because of cost but because of overall size and everything that goes into owning a boat that size.
If trailering is a consideration, might want to stick with the 23 unless you have a big truck. The 26 weighs around 10,000 lbs. full of fuel. Would be a bit of a bear to trailer unless you have a big truck.

I understand. When I sold my 26 I looked hard at the 23. I personally wanted a single instead of twins for the reasons you mentioned. A 23 with a single 250 is a sweet set up. Most of the issues engines are having now are fuel related so the 2nd engine doesn’t help you all that much.
As sweet as the 250 setup is I really want twin 150’s which makes my search even harder.

You can find the 23 with twins, but as you said you will have to search harder. It will be a lot easier to find a 24 with twins, but check the layout for yourself. The transom seemed a bit cramped to me, but there are always trade offs. Good luck-

What the hell??? This is way to cheap. Maybe it’s a salvage??? Great deal even though I wouldn’t want to trailer it.

I’ve got a feeling you’re not going to be happy with that boat.
If I had 50K to drop on a boat right now, I’d be driving to CT to work a deal. I’d bet their not selling too many boats up there right now. That’s a sweet ride.
Anyone have experience with the Pursuit mentioned above?
Sorry, I meant to say anyone have ■■■■■■■■ on the Pursuit C250, previously known as the 2570?
