Release double tagged cobia

Hi guys,

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on the forum but I wanted to make sure everyone saw this article about double tagged cobia. We’re putting acoustic transmitters in cobia to determine their migration patterns. If you see a cobia with both an orange and yellow tag (sometimes they get covered up by algae) please don’t use a gaff.

It’s a multi-state project with Georgia and Florida.

Here is a video of us tagging a cobia with Capt John Irwin of FlyRight Charters.

So far we’ve tagged over 20 in both Florida and South Carolina and another 10 in Georgia. The goal is to tag 50 in each state.

I’m going to cross post on the Hilton Head discussion thread. I’m happy to answer any questions.

Thanks for your help,
