Anybody using these reels the SG or the LG, not much out there for us lefthanders I just got a SG to try it wanted something a little lighter to troll for dolphin but feels too light may step up to an LG and put the SG on a striper set up, sure would be nice to use these all day though instead of 30’s and 50’s.
I’ve got 1 SG so far. I broke it in yesterday and liked it. I think the SGs would be fine, especially if you slapped braid on them and a topshot which is what I did last year with some of the smaller Avets. If you wanna skip the braid, then the LGs would work for sure.
Got to Go, how did you do yesterday? What size Avets do you use?

I used SX 5.3 Avets spooled with 30lb braid and a topshot last year trolling on jigging rods.
I had 4 of the HXW 2 speeds spooled with 420 yd of 50 lb mono in the spread last year. We had a big blue marlin on for about 20 minutes. They performed outstanding.
