Is that barrel rifled or smooth? Length? What is other barrel? Threaded for RemChokes or not? Length? Do you know how old the gun is?

It’s 2 3/4. They are not rifled barrels. In the photo the barrel is a Remington 22" deer barrel. The additional barrel I have is the Remington 28" barrel. I’m not sure how old it is , it was my dad’s and he kept it in very good condition - but it’s old.

He recently gave me a few guns - I have also listed the matching 30.06

My brother in law is looking for one, and would probably love to have yours…can you check and see if the 28" barel accepts chokes? Or at least what restriction it is (Full/IMP/MOD)? It should be stamped near the receiver on the barrel if it’s fixed choke. Thanks

Not sure, but it does say MOD

That means it’s a modified choke barrel, not interchangeable chokes. That will matter to some.

That’s a very nice shotgun! They don’t make them like that anymore.
If I needed another shotgun I’d be all over it. The interchangeable chokes is a non issue. You can buy another barrel for it that takes chokes for not a lot of money.

I have the same gun my Dad left to me,he purchased it the first year they came out.The 1100 still holds the record for most shells fired from any shotgun without failure to feed,it was a crazy number,in the thousands.Someone will be lucky to get that one for $450.00.Great condition too.
