Remleys parking

Hello everyone,

I would like to say sorry about Sunday parking job. I had someone that never been there parked the truck and he did not understand where I told him to park. If I could seen where he parked I would have move it. So saying that I hope it did not inconvenience anyone to much.

Sucks that happened man, sorry it all went that way. I had something similar happen with a noob one time, but got a phone call shortly after leaving the landing that my truck was blocking a lane, and I got to go back and fix it before it got bad. BUT…I also had my cell # printed on the truck at that time!

What I’ve started doing is designating a spot and pointing it out to the “driver” when we pull in/through the landing lot, and making sure to ask multiple times afterwards if the same spot was obtained.

You should go back down there with a 9 inch paint roller and a gallon of red paint. Mark out a full links parking space, and right special forces parking only. That ought to solve that problem.

“Back home we got a taxidermy man. He gonna have a heart attack when he see what I brung him”

Oh man…I had my own parking lot woes on Sunday, except at Shem Creek. Got to the ramp to go home and there were no boats or paddle boarders anywhere near, so I dumped The Warden off at the dock and she went for the truck and trailer up by the bank where she had parked. Wasn’t long before someone started backing a boat down the ramp I was tied up on, so being courteous, I untied to idle until The Warden returned.

With in minutes, half a dozen boats and a dozen kayakers and paddle boarders all started jocking for boat dock and ramp space. But that was cool, I was idling in the middle of the creek, minding my own business.

Then…the phone rang. It was The Warden. “Help! I’m about to hit someone, I can’t get out.”

That put me back into the que to tie up and hustle up to the parking lot. I finally got retied and hurried to the rescue, but as I walked up, some guy was working hard to man-handle our trailer…he’d helped disconnect the trailer from the hitch and pushed and shoved and was in the process of hooking up the trailer to the truck as I walked up.

So to that guy…thanks and sorry.
