does anybody have a good method of removing mildew spots. I unfortunately have had my boat outside and these black spots are growing, but normal powerwashing and scrubbing doesn’t work. Anybody have any ideas and is there something you can do the deck to restore the shine on top.
try a majic eraser… wet it and it will amaze you how well they work
Get some DAP Wood Bleach, I get it from ACE Hardware.
It’s Oxalic Acid…it’ll bleach any stain or mold. Read directions and wear glove - it’s good stuff but respect it. It’s a natural substance from Formic acid…it’ll clean the deck of your boat.
( I use the stuff mixed with sugar water in my beehives in the winter to kill mites.)

magic erasers are really magic they work great. if they arent enough try some comet but be easy when scrubbing u could scratch it. as far as shineing it u gotta elbow grease it with wax and buff wax and buff

picked up a bottle of real thick mildew remover this weekend from walmart, its like a spray gel so you can spray it and it will stick for a while and not run down all over. it might be comet brand, but it was there with all the normal household cleaners, they also have some generic mr clean type erasers a little cheaper too.
I TRIED MAGIC ERASER AND TILEX AND STILL COULDN’T GET THE MILDEW OUT OF CAULKING AROUND THE BOAT BUT THEY WOULD TAKE IF IT OFF FIBERGLASS

your not going to get mildew black spots out of the caulk its formed inside of it. the only way to make it look better is to redo the caulk

X-14 YOU CAN GET IT FROM ACE TRUE VALUE HARDWARE STORE BEST STUFF ON THE MARKET WILL NOT BLEACH CARPET AND KILLS THE MOLD FOR A FEW MONTHSWE USE IT ON THE PONTOON AND MY CC AND HAS NOT BLEACHED THE CARPET OR FABIC ON THE BOATS
I used X-14 on my dad’s boat back in the early 70’s.It worked well then and I guess it is still around.
