I lived in St Augustine for 20 years back in the 70’s and 80’s. Devil’s Elbow used to be a bait and tackle shop.
If I remember correctly, there’s big flat across the ICW that was loaded with big reds.

Best bet is to look in the Space Coast{Titusville,Cocoa,Canaveral} area.You can fish the Indian and Banana Rivers with the Mosquito Lagoon and Haulover Canal close by. Great fishing at both,and Sebastion Inlet a short drive south,well worth the drive. Snook fishing great this time of year. Cobia right off the beaches in April and Tarpon coming in in May. If kids are going,there is a lot to do in the area and Orlando right down the road.
