Renting house on water

I’m renting a house on the water next weekend and would like to do some fishing from the dock or kayak on my downtime. Nighttime as well if possible. I never do inshore fishing as most would know. Can anyone give any tips? I’m attaching photos of where house is located. Thought about bringing a couple of my crab traps as well. Property is at the pin drop on the map.

The point of grass where the feeder creeks dump into the main river is where i would start, right in front of the rental house. any oyster beds will be good. Never fails using live shrimp or mud minnows under a bobber around some oyster beds or grass points. Find structure (oyster beds, docks, bridges) and you will find at least some trout holding up.

Is the house you are renting available on the open rental market or a private rental? Only asking as we’re looking for something to rent for spring break.

facing the water, turn right, then turn right again into that creek…fish along the right hand bank all the way back to the sunken barge…next time facing water, turn left, tie up at Bowens and eat!

he’s not quite that far down Sol Legare…back closer to that long pier by Backman’s Seafood…

I know exactly where he is staying and who owns the house- just saying- that has been a problem area for generations and the problems live within walking distance.

I spent a ton of time fishing that dock when I was like 12-15, my friend and I would get dropped of there and fish all day, I would walk the marsh all around there and walk to the store, nobody ever bothered us. The worst that would happen was when you caught a reel nice fish everybody would fish right on top of you.

When a neighbors motorcycle got stolen his gps tracker took the cops opposite side of Sol Legare that the rental house is on. The Old man that owned the house “had never seen that bike before in his life” it was in his back yard and he had mowed around it that morning.

The house is fine, the fishing & family time will be great… Just Lock you stuff up and take your things inside at the end of the night.

Doesn’t sound like a Spring Break destination for us. We’ll keep looking.

DF, the Pee and I would like single rooms! I snore and I don’t want to wake up looking at him, over in the other bed[:0]! I’m sure he feels the same! So let’s make that happen:wink:
