Rep ain't, Awlgrip

Who in the area is good at painting with Awlgrip or similar?
20’ bay boat.
Any idea on cost?

Ask for Kenny at KC’s Boat Body Shop, Hollywood SC 843-810-2562. repainted my skiff with Awl-Grip 14 years ago, still looks new.

Any idea of cost?

It isn’t cheap. The paint, hardener and thinner will run about $500 a gallon. Then the prep work isn’t easy and takes a lot of time. My guess would be something around $3K. Just a guess as I’ve always done my own painting.

Cracka is on the money. I stripped the hardware from mine before, that helped with the cost. Not necessary, but I was going back with all new, and Kenny didn't have cover much.

Thanks for input… It’s my son’s boat and present paint is soft- easy to damage. Would have to strip that- sand then paint.

I’ve heard it can be done with additive and rolling. The additive makes it lay down?

I’ll spray hull sides for $150 per foot includes material. Body work and repairs are extra. Certified Awlgrip applicator trained by Awlgrip. Let me know if I can help.
