Replaced fuel lines today

I finally found time to replace the 11 year old fuel lines today. The filler was cracked and allowing fumes to seep through. Hopefully this will cure my stinkey bilge.

Upon checkout at west marine, I realized I am in the wrong line of work.
Almost 300 bucks for two ten foot fuel lines!

Anyways, now that im done complaining… any tips to recovering nut drivers that have gone to bilge heaven without a trace?

I cant even see the darn thing with a mirror… probably have to let this one go.

Try a magnet on a string.

Yep, a mechanic’s telescoping magnet. An auto parts store should have them. Or you could try Harbor Freight! http://www.harborfreight.com/15-lb-capacity-telescoping-magnetic-pickup-tool-95933.html

Tried the magnet on a stick, but a high power magnet on a rope might work.
