Looking for a replacement starting battery for 1 19 ft trailer boat, 115 engine-
are the walmart marine batteries ok? boat came with an exide nautilus, I thought exide went bankrupt (twice)
sears is not near me and interstate (at costco) is a long way also.
that leaves the boat dealer, walmart, and auto stores like advance auto parts.
where do you guys get batteries? in the city or mt plastic (hee hee)
thanks
I’ve had good luck with the Walmart Everstart marine batteries. They have a good warranty too.

All batteries out on the market are only made by three different parent manufacturers. Go for the best one that fits your budget with the best warranty you can afford.
One important thing with batteries is to MAINTAIN the charge. Invest in a good charger/maintainer and it will pay for itself in time.
FYI I just had to retire my Everstart Gold in one of my trucks and it was just over 7 years old. I wouldn’t pay a premium for a brand name battery. In my experience they are not any better than the generic branded when properly maintained.
Also O’Reillys has good prices on their marine batteries
What Larry said, I got 8 years out of a Wally World battery.

right about only three makers in the u.s. a lot also come from China and Mexico. the wally world batteries are just as good as the others and the stores are everywhere you go. just be sure to get a high enough cold cranking amp one. probably I would go with a 27 or 29 series. also. maintaining them is the key to longevity.
Check out Batterys and Bulbs I just bought some more there and they had the best price! I’ve had good experances with them!
