Replacement plugs

Hey guys, I have a flats boat that requires 2 interior plugs at the rear corner on either side of the floor, and of course a lower transom plug which is also plastic and actually screws into the boat from the outside, I have placed a couple of pictures on here and was wonderingif anyone knows where i can buy replacment plugs. I have already had to doctor the floor plugs with zap-a-gap, it works fine but would like to have a spare set. Thanks

Seems silly that that boat company would make their own special plugs. I’d replace them with plain ole rubber stoppers just to get back at those guys. You can buy them by the bag full for a couple dollars. Honestly they look just as good as the ones your boat builders ‘designed’.

I use them to replace cooler screw on caps once they break.

Thanks brother, I totally think those would work on the inside of the boat, not sure about the outter rear though, but i figured i could maybe just buy a similar plug and just jam it in there?

If it swims throw a fly at it!

I think I finally see. Your rear boat plug is “fine thread”. Let me guess, it’s 3/4"? Because they make 3/8", 5/8", 1" but not 3/4". Well, they make 3/4" but, not in fine thread.

They do make 3/4" fine thread in brass. Look here.

Have you tried to match the threads at the plumbing section at Lowes? They have lots of threaded pipe plugs.

Also, your boat builder won’t send you one…free!?!

West marine has a wide variety of screw in plugs.

Well see that is part of the problem, the manufacturer is or was Flats & Bay, and they aren’t in business anymore as far as I can find.

Tempo makes them plugs…check the link I posted above.Famous craft took over the molds of flats and bay,try giving them a call.

It was probably those shi!!y-ass plugs that ran them out of business!

Can you just run the two screws out of the whole assembly and install a new one that is STANDARD? like these.
