report 4/22 and 4/23 AMs

hit the water both mornings at dawn for the early morning low tides

saw tons of fish both days, picked up two nice redfish and a flounder the first session and then three reds all overslot the next day…water clarity has taken a major dive, and i found myself spooking far more fish than i’m happy about doing, but i just need to readjust to SC chocolate milk clarity conditons and take it slow. . . saw a bunch of really happy groups feeding both days, i definitely wasn’t expecting to see groups this late in the spring, but i was OK w/ that, that’s where i picked up most the fish, only got one cruisin solo . . . like i said, the groups were really happy and boilin and flippin their tails like crazy … there were plenty of singles cruisin but sight fishing was really hard w/ the clairty, so i had to rely purely on the wakes which was tough cause the singles aren’t feeding as agressively as they’re doin in the summer … all in all this is a kind of funky time of the year, the groups are the best bet, but the singles are still kind of finicky…can’t wait for the water to warm up and the fish to get more active so the fishing can get a little more exciting…can’t wait for next flood

Are ya tellin’ where?

Wag more. Bark less.

is this on grass or mud fats?

bciocco - sorry man, i don’t blow up my specific spots on the internet . . . thats kinda weak . . . i’d be glad to discuss generally though

like…

redfisher7 - neither. i mostly fish sand flats around the inlets . . . i’ve found the bait and fish to be more concentrated here, and the water clarity is generally always better (sand is more dense than mud, settles quicker) . . . i think its a little to early for steady tailing tide action, but that will change in a couple of weeks i think

thanks
