After getting shutout in the Abacos by bad weather and slow bite for a week, I cut my Bahamas trip short by two days to come back home and get on the good bite off SC. Sunday, we finished 1 for 2 on Blues and 9 gaffer dolphin. Blues were 450 ft and picked most dolphin in 600+ ft. Fished a little south. Even the bottom fishing was slow in the Bahamas. Was real glad to get back on a good bite here in Charleston after staring at days of wind and rain in the Abacos.
You left too soon. We landed noon Friday and went to trolling. Fishy waters but no hook ups. Went out sat am w a local. On the boat at 8. Lines in at 8:30. 1 king, 4 gaffer dolphin, 4 cudas, and a day maker white marlin. Back at dock for lunch.
Then the wind kicked it back up that afternoon and the next. Great time
Now trying to get out of sc next week looking iffy. Looking for a break.
Congrats on the blue!
