Head out around 4:45 a.m ran out to the 226 and trolling for about two hours…had a couple of short strikes along with a missed Wahoo…ran to the 380 saw what looked like a marlin free jumping but wasn’t sure…no action there…so we pick up lines and ran to the ledge. Trolling for all of 10mins before we hooked up with two sails at the same time…was able to get one in and take some nice pictures…overall not a bad day. Sail was 50 or 60 pounds. Fish was released in good health.
nice…

good job boys!!! Isn’t that a GREAT feeling? Did you get tossed in the drink on the way in, as this was your first sail?

It should not be a big deal to tell him it is illegal to take them out of the water if they are not killing them.

Originally posted by TJGFishYeah it was my first…other than one on a charter boat…but to actually get out there and do it yourself…it doesn’t get much better than that…matter of fact the guy on the right in the first picture…that was his first saltwater fish he has ever caught…I know you are not really suppose to bring the fish out of the water (and if you do i know its prolly not the best idea to post it on here)…but when you have a bunch of young guys with there first billfish…its kinda hard not to…the fish was released in good health and and i am pretty proud of that one…
I know someone who got in a pile of trouble for posting a pic of a fish on this very site. Do what you want to do. I am not ragging you. Just giving you a heads up.
