So since the weather didnt look that great for charleston, we decided to head down to New Smyrna Florida and do some offshore fishing down there. Friday was a bit rough so we stayed inshore with some light tackle and tore up saltwater catfish, lots of pinfish to be used for bait later, and a few ugly lizard fish. Saturday was beautiful so we head offshore to a few of the artificial reefs 15 to 20 miles out of ponce inlet and start pulling in snapper and BSB one after another. We were having such a good time that we didnt even get to trolling further out. the biggest BSB was a very fat 18 inches. I hooked up on one goliath but must not have set the hook just right because i ended up pulling the hook out after a few minutes of tug-a-ware. We were so busy pulling in fish, that we didnt get that many pictures but here are a few.
