report from the last two times out (w/pics)

Well…I haven’t posted in a while as I haven’t been fishing much lately!!..I’ve been busy at work with my busy time being in the summer as I work out on Kiawah Island Resort…With the tourist comes work (Thank God for that)…Anyway…went out on the Sat July 2nd and took my friends son Tyler with me again…Fished up the wando around some structure where I hooked into a funny looking red…was kinda deformed at the tail and had NO spots on it!!..had a huge red on that broke me off and my friends son Tyler caught a few reds also… These fish were caught just before high tide early in the morning. Water temp was around 85 degrees and the water was muddy. We then went out to the grillage and set up just as the tide was starting to turn to go out and I hooked into a nice little sharpnose…Tyler hooked into something really big and it about spooled him and then…POW…cut the line…never saw that fish but it was BIG!!!..Called it a day after that as the tide was really ripping out and the bite wasn’t on!!!..here are a few pics from that day…

funny looking tail on this fish and no spots!!!

Tyler with a nice little red about 19 inches!!

Tyler with another red about 21 inches!!

couple pics of the sharpnose I caught!!!

On Sunday July 7th I headed out to Bushy Park first thing in the morning…got to the ramp about 5:45am…The tide was high…water temp was around 87 degrees…hit my first spot throwing a spook jr to try to get a blow up…fished up and down bank for about an hour and only got one fish to blow up on the bait…what ever it was took the spook under and

You da man bugs, we gotta get up some time and fish.

Nice Pics and report! What do you do out at Kiawah? My wife and I both work out there and have for the past 6 years. Your right about the busy season for sure. I am not sure I even remember how to catch a fish it has been so long since I have had a chance to get out with no end in sight. I guess someone has to take care of the tourists though:smiley:
