Hey, guys. I have been working pretty hard since last Saturday, and haven’t had a chance to fish. My sister is here from California, and I want to show her a good time with the flatties and reds. Are they still biting at the usual hotspots, or has the H2O temp run em into deeper water yet? I was just wondering with this heat and all. Any help is appreciated.
We haven’t been down this week. Wish I knew, firsthand, the answer to your question!

Word is they’re scattered(flounder),I think deep water will be the ticket. As usual, looks like it’s gonna blow all week-end,stiff SW winds.
Thanks, guys. Yeah, of course it’s gonna blow, but I think it will lay first of the week. She’s here until next weekend, so maybe we can find a few days that will be nice. Good luck to all that are going out.
Goozman, I haven’t been this week at all. I had planned on hitting the Jetties to see if there was any Spanish around. I might get a chance to go this evening (after all the Idiots get their fill of beating each other to death in the ICW to the Inlet).

Just wanted to update you guys on what I did Saturday AM. Got there about 6:30. Went to not so super secret bait spot and got some nice 3-5" pogies. Still no shrimps to speak of. Ran to the jetties and caught 4 undersized flatties. Ran up to the sunset bridge and caught a red that was right at 35"(real nice for this time of year). Did see the boat behind me catch one after another, but they had freakin live shrimps. Where did they get them from?!?!?!?!?! I can catch a ton of flatties with live shrimp, but I can only find 2 or 3 right now that are big enough to fish with. Anyways, I left after that. I had to get home to go to Cornway to watch farcrackers and eat some funnel cakes and mess like that. I did have a blast with the family. If anyone knows where I can buy live shrimp, please PM me and let me know. I guess DNR was right when they said the while shrimp got wiped out this winter. The very few I have caught were brown shrimps.
