Reports?

Has anyone been offshore lately? Catching any? Not seeing many reports coming in.

Haven’t been in over a month. Makes me sad.

Last Saturday wasn’t any fun. Made it off 22 miles on some live bottom that typically produces, hardly anything. Some sharks. Some small bsb. Some smaller vermillion. The goal was to leave early and troll at sunrise and bottom fish afterward on the ledge. I’m so glad we left later and didn’t have to make a 50 mile trip home in stacked 3 footers.

Doesn’t look like the weather will let me head off this weekend.

Hi I am new to the area. I notice there are zero party boats and all the charter boats you need 4-6 guys. Where I used to live there was open charter boats where you could call and reserve your spot… not the case down here which puts me on the sideline. I still work up in nj and when I do I fish! Went Wednesday 20 miles off barneget and hammered the false albacore Bonita Spanish macs and a mahi… Boat also got a 40lb bluefin… any help I would appreciate… anyone need someone to split fuel with clean the boat please let me know. Also is there a particular Facebook group… we have njfishing.com… site is later out the same but on here much much less… thanks for any help on getting me on the water

Plenty of great guides for hire around here Sam.

Murrels inlet just north of here has the new inlet princess. It’s just bottom fishing but you can catch limits of most bottom fish pretty easily. It’s 100 bucks or so to go but they provide everything and it’s like 12 hrs 6 or 7 cruising and 5 or 6 fishing. I haven’t been in a while but might go this fall.

That’s a far ride like 2 hours… however if you go keep me posted. I looked online and only saw very small bottom species… on those offshore trips can you flat line bait for some exotics?
