Getting ready to repower soon. Am going to try to sell old motors. One runs one doesn’t. Want to strip and repaint the bracket before installing the new motors so I feel that taking the old ones off is a logical decision. My wife feels that I should list the motors and leave them in place so a potential buyer can test run the good engine. So what would ya’ll do?
I would agree with your wife on that. If I was a buyer I would want to see the engine perform under load.
I guess I’ll paint around them.I hate to admit my wife was right about something pertaining to my boat.
what are the motors you are selling
Selling a pair of 1995 OMC 150 Ocean Pros. One runs, the other quit 2 seasons ago. Boat has been on trailer since. (My wife got her pool while the repower waited).Don’t know exactly what is wrong with the broken one…it just quit. Gave me a good excuse to get new motors. Both have stainless steel hyperd props. Will take 3000.00 for both or 1000.00 for broken one, 2000.00 for running. Of course I can negotiate or may be willing to make a trade.
When I sold my boat, I used videos to show it off versus using text and pictures. I put in on ebay and a guy drove from Augusta to come get it. I asked him what caught his attention and he said the video helped because he had an idea on how good the motor ran.
Call me I will take the engines Capt Rich 8432374600 I can get you new ones as well
