Had an electrolysis issue destroy the lower unit and trim cylinders on my port side 250 hpdi. Starboard is still in good shape with no damage but after looking at the numbers I can’t say it would be worth dumping thousands of dollars into a 2003 hpdi with 1500 hrs.
Beginning to price new 4-strokes and would like some ■■■■■■■■ from anyone that has recently repowered with the latest Yamaha 300 4-strokes or anything comparable. The first quote with controls and labor included was around $60k.
