Rescue boats spotted..

I saw a rescue boat, CC rushing towards wappoo cut earlier, about 1, on the way back I saw the truck parked. Then a rescue zodiak passed me on Folly RD. Figured it was going to folly ramp or sol legare, a buddy confirmed they launched at folly.
Anybody know whats going on? When info becomes available please post it, in the meantime prayers are sent. It could easily be one of us

Hopefully just somebody stranded on a mud flat with the negative tide today.

Two boats actually, lost communication with them and they sent S&R. That mudflat in the middle on the ride to lighthouse will fool you especially if you haven’t been stuck in it before. The first time I ran that way when I moved down here I nailed it pretty good but luckily in the aluminum boat which was easy to get free.

The other guy was way up on the bank in the grass, must have been fishing this morning on that 6.9 tide.

When I was younger and we got stranded by the tide, we just waited until it came back in. Hope everyone is safe.

Just once? It’s happened to me at least two times. Maybe three…

Hate to admit it but got stuck for about 10 minutes yesterday at Crab Bank. I was letting my son drive and not paying as much attention as I should have been. I swear I have cut through that same area before with no problems. We were able to pole ourselves off. Oh well, you ain’t boating if you ain’t doing something dumb sometimes.

It just seemed a bit ridiculous to call a rescue boat for being stranded. I’ve walked it, paddled, poled, and waited. I’d never waste our resources like that unless someone was actually in danger

My brother was driving and I was not paying attention. wide open into the sandbar near sol legre. We were in a few inches of water when we came to a stop. we skipped/slid a long way. 17 foot I/O, so no pushing that out. we just sat there acting like nothing was wrong until the tide came up.

I’m with yall, that ain’t no emergency, barely an inconvenience and hopefully an education.

In high school the girls would say we did it on purpose. They were right.
