I just learned that Al, the old man on the 4-wheeler that tended to Garrison Landing, passed away this week after a long battle with cancer. Rest in peace Al! I’ll miss our conversations.
Aw man, hate to hear that. I’ve had some good conversations with him over the years. Really friendly guy.

Very nice guy. Always helpful. He will be missed.
Bad news
He was the nicest guy and my two little kids always liked to hear his stories about the area and fishing. He will be missed, god bless his soul.
I am so sorry to hear this. We always enjoyed talking to him at the ramp before launching. He was sharing his health concerns a few months ago and mentioned that during a tough time he found the Lord. Thankfully he is off to a better place. Prayers for his family and friends.

Give me a call if you are looking to buy or sell a house in the Charlaston area.
Al will be missed by many. He was an awesome person.
RIP
Not many left like him!
If it fly’s, floats, or, friggs, rent it!
This is Al’s daughter Chrissy. Thank you so much for the kind words. He sure did love working at Garris Landing and the refuge! Here is his obituary and information about his services:

Never met him, thanks Chrissy for sharing his obituary with us, he sounds like he was a very wonderful person. I’m sure that character flows to his children and grand children!

Amazing, he had a very full and successful life. Thank you Chrissy and very sorry for your (our) loss
