Restaurant Dolphin too salty to eat

Had some dolphin recently at a local chain seafood restaurant. Grilled and on a sandwich, first few bites were like eating a mouthful of salt. Sent it back, told the manager about the problem, he stated it might have been “seasoned” too much by the cook. 2nd sandwich comes out, same appearance as first, smells fine, 2 bites and it is just as salty as first piece, confirmed by my father-in-law as unedible. Manager couldn’t explain it, didn’t charge me.
Is there any spoilage or attempted coverup treatment of fish that would give it a supersalty taste?
Nobody got sick.

You would know bad fish if you tasted it and I don’t know of anything that would cover that up! It probably had too much seasoning or was over-marinated or salted before being packaged.

Sounds like carabbas italian restaurant. They use rock salt for seasoning. That food will pucker you up fo sho’

Fishing on the bottom is like having sex with the lights turned off. It feels good but I wanna see it.

It wasn’t Carrabba’s, and not Italian. I don’t think anyone would ever find the salt taste of the fish I was served to be worth consumption. I don’t want to name the restaurant because I have never had any other thing bad from their menu, no point in ruining someone’s reputation.

i called dhec on athens a few months ago… they served me flounder that smelled straight out like pure pluff mud!!! i didnt make a scene outta it until the manager told me it was fine, and he wouldnt cook me a new plate. dhec went to athens, did an investigation and called+emailed me back saying that they did their investigation and athens passed their test. oh well, wont eat there again and i hope they shut down!!!:imp:

we’re going to athens tonight for the salmon salad
