I enjoyed that. I’m reading a book “A Higher Call” that is all about those B17’s. Amazing story in that book. Basic jist is that a B17 was terribly crippled on a bombing run over Germany, and a German fighter pilot escorted them outside of Germany rather than finishing them off. They pilots later found themselves and now consider each other brothers. This is not fiction…true story. I’ve been impressed reading about the code of chivalry in the German fighter pilots.
