I’m a newbie at freshwater bass fishing. Keep hearing about ‘trick’ worms. What makes them different from any other worm? Is it the worm or the way it is rigged? Under what conditions should it/they be used? Thanks, Captom
Basically a straight ( Zoom ) worm, no curl tail, rigged weightless. You can rig the hook weedless or exposed. Use it like a jerk bait around cover and in weeds. I rig my Daughters with a 2/0 Owner circle hook through the nose of the worm, when a fish strikes she hooks up with little effort on her part.
Thanks stlhunr. Rigged and fished like a regular ole’ Senko? Got it! captom
I fish a trick worm at a faster speed than I do a senko. I like to use it where I can see it working, just under the surface…
they work great as mentioned, also on a Carolina rig, wacky rigged, texas rigged etc
