Lines in a calm ocean at 6:15 am. Tuna were biting when we got there. Stayed pretty busy with them and by 9:30 we had 8 BFT in the box. We worked back towards a break we past on the way in and managed a few slingers and then pushed out into 400’ or so.
We had massive knock down out there. The fish hit the short rigger then made a hard long run and surfaced. We cleared all the lines and had him under the boat and he gives one big head shake and is gone. Never saw him.
Worked back into another break w/ some scattered weeds and caught some more dolphin and a wahoo.
Nice day man! How much did that big tuna weigh??? It’s huge! We caught 1 nice tuna on the ledge Thursday but didn’t catch anymore all day. How deep did you catch most of them?
