RIP Mr. Blocker

I just heard Mr. Blocker passed away. I do believe he could tear down and reassemble just about any of my reels blindfolded. I always asked him what reel to buy because he knew them from the inside out.

Sorry to hear that…only met him twice but remember him fondly

Woodfloats?

He was the best I’ve ever seen. I’m very sorry to hear this.

Rest in peace Mr. Blocker, you were the best, you kept a lot of anglers, and tackle shop owners happy?

God Speed Mr Blocker

Mr. Blocker was a Charleston fishing treasure. I first met him at Dee Oliver’s shop, and always enjoyed the chance to talk with him. He knew repair tricks that nobody else knew - - sometimes not even the manufacturers. We will miss you, Mr. Blocker.

“Don’t tell fish stories where people know you; but particularly, don’t tell them where they know the fish.” Mark Twain

Rest In Peace

One of the greatest men I ever knew, WWII vet that saw 150+ consecutive days in combat as a medic, I was blessed to have worked with him for 14 years. He was truly like a grandfather to me, esecially after my own grandfather had passed years back. Rest in peace good buddy!!!
