I’m fishing the Roanoke River striper spawning run in North Carolina May 1-3. They require single barbless hooks for that fishery. Any suggestions on the proper hook to use on topwater baits to replace the trebles?
I’m assuming I want the hook to hang with the tip pointed up but I’m not quite sure how to rig it right since having one split ring on makes the hook either point left or right. Any suggestions?
For the most part we’ll be throwing jig heads and soft plastics except for morning/evening.
