Glad to see you posting. Thought you may have been hurt during the ‘incident’. Welcome back.

That’s funny! Glad to see you back to the salt too FB, and going bigger! Any special reason not another bigger SH? Just curious.

No problems with a Gamefish 27 to the Keys 4 times. Expect a tire blowout so carry a couple of spares and a jack that is easy to use. I have been lucky and have not had any bearing/hub issues but stay pretty compulsive about maintenance. No matter what happens along the way, the trip is definitely worth it!

I love the Gamefish models but the Robalo’s just have that extra attention to detail and a 126” beam!! There are no brackets up top for Outriggers or VHF. I guess I’m supposed to just mount directly to Fiberglass

If there aren’t any brackets, call Wes at Marsh Tacky. He’ll see you up the right way.

He’s still an amazing wealth of knowledge. He can at least point you in the right direction. Stand up guy and glad to help any in the Charlestonfishing community.

Always has been that. I’m looking at going the Taco GS 280 route this time. Had the 170’s on the Gamefish.

I towed my Southport 272 last year and I’m planning on doing it again this year. It’s only 9’6" beam though but with the trailer guides it’s right at 10’. Gotta say I love my Marsh Tacky mounts and poles. Basically maintenance-free

2008 Carolina Skiff 17DLX w/2015 Yam. 70

SeaTow trailer coverage! Had a dragging brake that got a tire so hot it exploded on the Interstate in S. Florida on July 4th. Guy they send was awesome and got me back home. Granted I had 2 spare tires and one of most everything else…but a caliper and break.

Me too!!! Unfortunately I’ve had to work hard to be blessed with this one. My Kinfolk just wished their youngest son/nephew/grandson/cousin would share the wealth.

That is a sweet ass ride, but when it comes to boats, you’re as stable as a bowling ball on a shkps deck.
