I have been wanting to get one of those sonic/oscillating tools for a while. I got a Lowe’s gift card for Christmas so went to take a look at what they had. I almost bought one but then went home to look at reviews online. I found this kit on Lowe’s website. It retails for $149.99 but is on sale/clearance for $49.99 + $3.50 (taxes) and free shipping. I ordered one and got it yesterday. If you have been considering one of these tools, this one is really nice and comes with a case and 73 piece kit.

thanks for the heads up - just ordered one - been wanting to take the fiberglass fishbox out of a gennoe and I think it should do the trick

Wow, that’s a great deal! I may order a spare. The Sonic Crafter is one of the best tools ever invented. Safe, low dust, easy to handle and cuts fiberglass like butter. I’ve got 100,000 miles on mine :smiley:

Received my Sonicrafter tool today! Haven’t had a chance to pug it in, or play with it yet, but as heavy as it is in hand, it should last! Or, I’ll turn it into one of those Metric Hammers:smiley:

I also found several accessories/attachments at my local Lowe’s that were on clearance. One being sonicshears that will cut carpet, vinyl, cardboard, chicken wire etc. I am redoing some bunks and it cut the carpet like butter. Normally $24.99 on clearance for $6.99.

Those oscillating tools are great. I bought one a few weeks ago and haven’t put it down.
