Rocky Creek Confusion

There seems to be a little confusion about the Rocky Creek I have been talking about in my reports. I have several maps of lake murray and most of them have two rocky creeks the one everybody knows of which is down the Lake on the newberry/saluda end. The one I talk about in the post right now is a little bit south of the #7 area on the club map. Hope this clears things up. I will try to be a little clearer in the future

I believe the area you are referring to is the area I call the rock quarry. If I am correct several others in the club also call this area the rock quarry.

There are actually 4 Rocky Creeks on the lake.

That is Rocky Creek on the southeast side of the lake near Counts Ferry Road. I’m pretty sure it’s the same creek as that right above Acapulco, emptying into the lower lake after winding through the countryside. Some people like to call it Rocky Branch or Rock Quarry.

It’s all good we figured it out in the end. Read the Saturday 9-14 Report. Thanks for posting…that all that matters.

There is one in the Little River, and one in the Big Saluda above the Bush River.

Learn something everyday…thanks!
