My last night in Aspen, CO and over the past 24 hours I pulled off a Rocky Mountain Slam, a brook, rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout. The brown was 21," surpassing my goal of a 20"er for summer. The bow was tiny, 5", brookies were 15" and a smaller one at 8" and the cut 10." Small but the brown made it worth it. It’s been an awesome summer and looking forward to guiding again next June. Got a big road trip planned with plenty of fishing; Gunnison River for the next two days, then drive to Austin Texas to check out that town. From there east to Grand Isle, LA for some fishing for a few, north to New Orleans, then on to Oxford MS, Tuscaloosa, Atl and hopefully Charleston for some more fishing before back home to VA. Anyone got a kayak I can borrow and wanna go fishing for an afternoon around the 14th-15th???
