Rod and reel setup

Hey y’all, new to bluewater fishing and currently trying to piece my tackle together bit by bit in a somewhat economical fashion. Right now i have 2 new Penn Squall 50VSW’s, and have two like-new TLD 50’s on the way from a gentleman in So Fla.

im wanting to buy equipment that is versatile enough for high-speed trolling as well as conventional trolling for dolphin, blackfin, etc… I was thinking about pairing the two TLD’s with bent-butt rods for HST(and normal low speed), and matching the Squall’s on regular straight rods. Any advice on economical rod matches for those reels?

Any other advice is always appreciated as again I’m just a newb from the upstate

Thanks
Brett

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I have eight Penn 330 Level wind /level drag on rods rigged up . also all the tackle to drag behind. My wife and I use to have a 26' CC and go to the canyons &0 mile out and troll for yellowfin. I got the tackle if you have the boat and split gas. Joe Text @ 803 300 8180
