What would be an all around good rod for this reel staying under $50. The reel will be spooled with 30-50 lb. braid so it has to start somewhere around 10lb mono. I want it to be able to cast medium/heavy lures a good bit and also be able to throw an 1 or 2 oz of lead. I found a 7ft. rod rated 10-25 lb mono, medium heavy action, and 1/2-2 oz which sounds good but I think it might be a little overkill but I don’t know. All help will be appreciated. Thank’s!!!

For $50, I really like the Ugly Stik “Inshore Select” Rods. They only make them up to Medium action, but I have 3 Medium-Light rods and they handle really nicely. I think the Mediums would suit you well for inshore. You may want something more stout, but you can’t beat these for $50.
