I just recently purchased 2 Penn international 50 vsw and 2 50 vsx. I am going to use the vsw’s further back in my spread and the vsx’s closer to the boat. I also got an 80 I want to put on a bent rod for my planer. I would like some recommendations for those 5 rods please. Looking for good quality equipment
Are you fishing offshore in your 24’ Sea Hunt bayboat?

No i have a 2015 yellowfin 32 for offshore
I have 5 connely rods and love them.
30’ Triton
250 Verados
That’s a sweet rig. …but on a serious note, Star rods and pinnacle rods are both great rods for tighter budgets…
Pinnacle Rods good rod for the money. I have a Calstar WC 6460xxh I might be willing to part with but not very cheap I actually have a couple of Calstars but they are pretty stiff rods but will put the fish in the boat when trolling.PM me if interested
Wow, nice rigs. As for rods, I like the Shimano Tallus. You might consider the ones without roller guides. I use that model more often than not, and they seem to do just fine.

I have Star and Pinnacle rods both are good rods and basically bullet proof. If I was going to do it again I would go with something lighter. I mean hollow core rods in the correct weight class. You will be much happier with your purchase regardless of the price. It is much more fun to fight the fish than wrestling with the rod. also makes it much easier to move rods in the cockpit when you have multiple fish on. Just my opinion.

Sellsfish swears by these rods, I’m going to give them a shot one day. They come with a bent and straight butt too.
He has a 2015 Yellowfin 32’ and someone recommends rods on a tight budget. That makes me laugh.

He has a 2015 yellowfin and is asking for rod advice… . No answer to this question should seem illogical
Connley rods. You will not be disappointed, and they are custom.
Thank you to those for any and all advice. Im new to offshore and to this site so I will take every suggestion I can get. I didn’t realize people would belittle other peoples comments when I had a legitimate question to prepare myself to be a better angler. FISH ON!!
Warbler why do you suggest the no roller guides on that?

At least get roller tips for your offshore rods. Trust me, you’ll be happy with Connley rods.
