I’ve got a Teramar SE inshore casting rod that I’d like to outfit with an Avet SX MC. I’ve read conflicting reports as to whether the Fuji reel will seat on this rod will accommodate the Avet reel or not. Anyone had any experience with this? Avet does offer a trigger seat foot accessory ($20) that may help with compatibility if the stock foot doesn’t seat properly. Thanks!

most rod and reels will fit each other fine, i am able to sit my senator 4/0 on my inshore redfish rod, however i would never fish that way, if your concerned your reel may to big for the seat,you may want a heavier rod, but i think you should be fine, however a reel clamp always adds that extra assurance.
I’m so salt life I sued google earth for giving away all of my fishing spot’s.
Thanks man. After exhaustively reading several forums, it looks like the foot on the Avet reels is a little smaller than most. I’ll use the clamp if need be. Appreciate your response!
