Rod Repair

Any suggestions as to where to get ceramic eyes for fishing rods or someone who repairs them.

Haddrells Point tackle can repair the rod guides for you and they may sell you the stuff to do it yourself. I would pay the 6-8 bucks to have it done though. Steve does good work.

Stop or I’ll shoot!

Fritz - great info thanks-
Where is Haddrell’s located- I am in Walterboro.
Thanks again!

They repaired a rod for me last year. Told them I was in a hurry as I was leaving town. Ready the next day and couldn’t tell where they replaced the eye. Looked like a factory job. It was a very reasonable price too.

Charleston Angler on 17A in Summerville. Mike Holzclaw (sp?) does super work. He has done a bunch of my rods and he is quick, and the repairs are like factory.

I was under the impression that Jeff DeMille was doing rods…Mike is the reel tech (who can wrap, but I do not think it’s his #1 job there)

either way, yes Jeff is very good with repairing fishing rods…it’s all in who’s closer to where you will coming into charleston from.

I cannot say that one persons work is better than the next.
