I closed a hatch lid on a rod this morning and crushed the tip guide. Anyone have a recommendation for rod repairs? I’m in the Ballentine/Irmo area so anything within a reasonable distance.
No fish and a busted rod. That’s my report for the day. At least it didn’t rain.
I’m pretty sure sportsman’s supply warehouse does rod repairs. I took a rod in with a broken top eye to match the size and they fixed it in the back cheaper than buying the eye repair kit.
I have taken a couple of Shakespeare rods to Richard Hall at Lake World and he sends them to someone in W. Columbia for repairs. The guy did a great job and even matched the color wrapping on the rod. If it is just the tip that needs replacing Richard can probably do it right there.
