rods 7'6" or longer (nonfly)

Anybody using rods 7’6" or longer out of the kayak and what has you experience been with them. Thinking of adding one or two.

Loving my 7 1/2 St Croix Avids. The long rods sure make casting light baits easier

talk to Carter. I think he’s fishing 8 footers lately

I have a 7’4" Loomis Bronzeback that is my favorite kayak rod. The extra length really seems to make a difference (yes yes, that’s what she said)- both in casting and maneuvering fish around the yak. Ive been trying to get my hands on one of those 7 1/2 ft Avids, but it doesn’t seem as if anyone in town carries them.

I have a 7ft and 7ft4" boyd duckett spinning rods I’d be willing to trade for fly fishing gear… Brand spankin new…
